I am in the process of training for a number of events (See Training Summary). By no means, am I fast or good at running, swimming or biking – yet I do like the challenge and it allows me to have a healthier outlook on food and my body. It focuses me somewhat away from weight loss and dieting. Food becomes fuel and losing weight serves to help decrease my times completing events. Running at 195 is much harder than 185, etc.
